Avaya is an enterprise software leader that helps the world’s largest organizations and government agencies forge unbreakable connections. They are seeking a DevOps / DevSecOps Engineer to design, automate, and secure cloud infrastructure across Azure and GCP environments while collaborating with engineering, security, and operations teams to enhance reliability, scalability, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reusable Terraform and Ansible modules for Azure and GCP infrastructure
• Enforce configuration standards and policy-as-code practices
• Architect and manage scalable, secure Azure and GCP environments (AKS, App Gateway, VNets, NSGs, Key Vault, Managed Identities)
• Implement governance, cost optimization, and compliance controls across subscriptions
• Build and optimize Jenkins and GitHub Actions pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment across environments
• Implement blue/green, canary, and rollback deployment strategies with observability and alerting
• Integrate vulnerability scanning, code analysis, and compliance checks into CI/CD workflows
• Manage secrets, certificates, and key management using secure vault solutions
• Collaborate with security teams to align infrastructure with FedRAMP/FIPS/ISO/PCI standards
• Implement proactive monitoring using Azure Monitor, Google Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, and Log Analytics
• Define SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets aligned with business objectives
• Partner with product and engineering teams in agile ceremonies to plan, deliver, and continuously improve
• Participate in release management, sprint planning, retrospectives, and post-incident reviews

Skills

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Platform Engineering
• Proven expertise in Azure and GCP cloud architecture and automation
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD)
• Familiarity with security frameworks (FedRAMP, FIPS, CIS Benchmarks)
• Experience with container security, image scanning, and supply chain security
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, network, and application layers
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a focus on accountability and delivery
