Saragossa is a fintech startup handling a trillion dollars in assets, and they are seeking their first Cyber Security Engineer to build the security function from the ground up. This fully remote role involves setting up and securing the AWS infrastructure, ensuring compliance with various regulations, and serving as the face of the company for security and compliance matters.

Responsibilities

• Own everything security related at a fast-growing startup
• Set up and secure the entire AWS infrastructure
• Ensure everything is locked down and built properly from the start
• Own all things compliance too, SOC2, GDPR, ISO 27001 and whatever else the business needs as it scales
• Be the person in the room when PE clients want to know how their data is being protected
• Shape how a company thinks about security at a critical point in its growth
• Work directly with the founders and leadership team
• Make visible contributions and decisions that matter

Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS
• Solid background in compliance frameworks (SOC2, GDPR, ISO 27001)
• Familiarity with writing code and software development practices such as scripting, implementing authentication systems, CI/CD, and IaC
