Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Better Than Services (BTS) is a boutique cloud consulting firm specializing in cloud infrastructure solutions. They are seeking a Cloud Engineer with extensive experience in AWS to design and build infrastructure and automate tasks for various clients.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AWS infrastructure with Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Stand up and maintain EKS/Kubernetes workloads (Helm, Karpenter, container tooling)
• Build CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Gitlab CI/CD, Jenkins)
• Automate various task and deliverables in Python and Bash
• Setup observability pipelines (Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, Datadog)
• Troubleshoot networking, IAM, security, and account/org issues
• Build and structure AWS Landing Zones, Control Tower, IAM Polices
• Create templates, and documentation that make all the above repeatable

Skills

• 8 to 10+ years hands-on with cloud infrastructure and DevOps primarily in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• A generalist who is comfortable across a range of tools and domains and can pivot as client needs shift
• Strong with IaC (Terraform especially) and handy with scripting (Python, Bash)
• Comfortable running Kubernetes in production
• Can create documentation as you build, with the next engineer in mind
• Clear, professional communication skills and can work directly with clients and explain complex concepts in an understandable manner
• Happy owning ambiguous problems and driving them to done
• Design and build AWS infrastructure with Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Stand up and maintain EKS/Kubernetes workloads (Helm, Karpenter, container tooling)
• Build CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Gitlab CI/CD, Jenkins)
• Automate various task and deliverables in Python and Bash

• Advanced AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Pro, DevOps Engineer Pro, or a Specialty cert)
• Hands-on security tooling experience (Wiz, GuardDuty, Inspector, and similar)
• Prior consulting or multi-client experience, where you've juggled competing priorities and clients
• Hands-on experience with Database migration or management
• Bonus if you have a CS degree or similar, but your experience matters more to us
