Job Summary

  • Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Remote Claims Processor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering efficient customer service while processing insurance claims. In this remote position, you will be responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and processing claims accurately and promptly, ensuring that clients receive timely resolutions. This role is essential to maintaining the operational efficiency of the company, providing crucial support to the claims department.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Review and assess insurance claims based on policy details, claims procedures, and regulations.
  • Gather necessary information from clients, medical providers, and other stakeholders to complete claims processing.
  • Evaluate claims to ensure that all required documentation and information are complete and accurate.
  • Communicate with clients to request additional information or clarify any details regarding their claims.
  • Ensure claims are processed and settled according to company policies, client agreements, and legal requirements.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all claims processed and related correspondence.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve any issues and streamline claims processing procedures.
  • Monitor and track claims status, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay current with industry trends, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in business or related field is a plus.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in claims processing, insurance, or a similar administrative role.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple claims simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in using computer software, including Microsoft Office and claims management systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex situations.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years in an administrative, insurance, or claims processing role.
  • Prior experience with insurance claims is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with relevant insurance policies, medical claims, and billing processes is an advantage.
  • Working Hours
  • This is a full-time remote position.
  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (EST), with occasional flexibility based on business needs.

  • In-depth understanding of insurance claims processes and related regulations.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to track multiple claims at once.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
