[Remote] Business Development Manager (Remote- US)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. IPL Schoeller is a global leading sustainable packaging solutions provider that manufactures specialty rigid packaging products. They are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to expand their Bulk Reusable Transport Packaging platform into new markets by identifying and developing opportunities for reusable bulk plastic packaging.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate non‑agriculture market opportunities for Bulk RTP across targeted sectors
  • Prioritize opportunities in industries such as food processing, protein and poultry processing, industrial manufacturing, recycling, and automotive supply chains
  • Conduct market research and industry analysis to uncover new Bulk RTP applications
  • Generate, qualify, and advance a strategic pipeline of Bulk RTP opportunities
  • Engage prospective customers, distributors, and industry partners to validate use cases and commercial potential
  • Position Bulk RTP solutions to replace wood bins, metal containers, and single‑use packaging
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations to assess product fit, specifications, and manufacturing feasibility
  • Support decisions related to production location, capacity, and operational readiness for new markets
  • Contribute to new product and application development efforts
  • Support go‑to‑market strategies, including product positioning, customer targeting, and commercialization plans
  • Monitor competitive offerings, pricing trends, and emerging technologies in reusable and plastic packaging
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to align business development initiatives with company growth objectives

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or market development within reusable transport packaging, plastics, or industrial packaging
  • Strong understanding of bulk RTP applications and conversion opportunities from wood, metal, or single‑use packaging
  • Proven ability to identify emerging markets and build strategic pipelines
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with engineering, operations, and product development
  • Strong market analysis, communication, and relationship‑building skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to operate independently while driving strategic growth initiatives
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%
