Ascensus is the nation’s largest third-party administrator of retirement plans, seeking a Business Development Consultant to build and manage strategic relationships with financial professionals. This role is essential for driving sales efforts, deepening partner engagement, and delivering tailored solutions to enhance the sales experience in the retirement services marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with advisors, consultants, plan sponsors, and institutional partners
• Partner with the RVP to execute territory strategy and drive new and existing business growth
• Proactively uncover new business opportunities, actively sell FuturePlan solutions, and advance prospects through the pipeline
• Manage day-to-day sales activity, including pipeline tracking, CRM updates, follow-up, and new business submission
• Support proposal development, documentation, and full sales lifecycle execution
• Provide expert guidance on plan design and retirement solutions
• Deliver customized, client-specific recommendations leveraging FuturePlan’s capabilities
• Conduct presentations and support industry events to drive engagement and brand presence
• Educate partners to enhance their ability to win and retain business
• Monitor territory performance and align activity to sales goals
• Maintain industry and product knowledge through ongoing learning
• Partner with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience
• Uphold data security standards and demonstrate company values in all interactions
• Other duties as assigned

Skills
