Pear Talent - Finance Recruitment is partnering with a highly successful global multi-strategy hedge fund investing in Artificial Intelligence. They are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design and build production-grade AI applications and platforms, working closely with senior leadership to shape the firm's AI strategy and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy production-grade AI applications, platforms and agentic workflows
• Develop AI-powered copilots, knowledge assistants, automation tools and decision-support systems
• Build and maintain enterprise AI platforms supporting multiple teams and business functions
• Design multi-agent architectures incorporating planning, memory, tool use and workflow orchestration
• Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, semantic search capabilities and knowledge retrieval systems
• Build scalable APIs, services and infrastructure supporting AI workloads in production
• Implement AI evaluation frameworks, observability, monitoring, guardrails and quality controls
• Partner with stakeholders across technology, operations, finance, compliance and other business functions to identify and deliver high-impact AI use cases
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and contribute to long-term platform strategy and architecture
• Drive projects from concept and experimentation through to production deployment and adoption

Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering / machine learning / AI engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience building production AI systems using modern LLM technologies
• Experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, OpenAI Agents SDK, CrewAI or similar
• Experience designing and deploying RAG architectures, vector search and semantic retrieval systems
• Strong Python engineering skills and experience building APIs and microservices
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and modern deployment practices
• Experience implementing evaluation, monitoring, observability and reliability controls for AI systems
• Strong system design and architecture skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, highly technical environment
• MUST be a US citizen/Green Card OR U.S. H-1B visa holder
• Financial services experience is beneficial but not required
