[Remote] Advanced Analytics Data Engineer Intermediate
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is seeking a self-motivated Data Analytics, Quality, and Process Engineer. The role involves procedure documentation, efficiency assessments, and the execution of DFSS/DMAIC projects, focusing on continuous quality improvement and cost reduction strategies.
Responsibilities
- Procedure documentation
- Efficiency assessments (process capability, cycle-time, downtime data with impact categorization, and FTC monitoring)
- DFSS/DMAIC project execution
- Implementation of lean process methodologies
- Continuous quality-improvement strategies
- Autonomous mitigation/prevention of test issues aimed at both quality improvements and cost reductions
Skills
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET or CEAB Accredited University
- CEAB (Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board) should be equivalent to ABET for US based universities
- Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in defining and/or applying process improvement techniques for Key Performance Indicators (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale)
- Experience with full process quality deployment and optimization in a high-paced production or test environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with engineering standard measurement techniques and tools (MS Office Suite, Minitab, SPC, distributions, etc.)
- Experienced with developing MS -Excel macros
- Proficiency with: DFSS/DMAIC/Six-Sigma and Root-cause analysis tools (PFMEA, 8D, 5S, Kaizen, Gage R&R, ANOVA, ISO-17025)
- Master of Science degree from an ABET accredited university
- Experience in project management including MS Project
- Strong facilitation, mentoring, and coaching skills working with individuals and groups
- Demonstrated experience communicating effectively to senior level management a plus
- Proficiency with relational databases (i.e. DB2). Ability to understand DB structure and write SQL statements
- Experience with developing code in C/C++ or Java is a plus
