Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Abuse Refuge Org (ARO) is a public charity dedicated to supporting abused individuals and communities. They are seeking a volunteer Admin Assistant to support day-to-day operations, manage tasks, and provide administrative support while helping further ARO’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations by managing, assigning, and reassigning tasks across the team to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects
• Monitor and maintain the campaign content calendar, ensuring deadlines are tracked, updated, and clearly communicated to relevant team members
• Provide high-level administrative and executive support, assisting with prioritization, scheduling, and general coordination
• Review and edit a variety of content types to ensure accuracy and alignment with brand standards
• Monitor communication channels and assigned tasks daily (Monday–Thursday) and respond within 24 hours
• Attend the monthly ARO Company Meeting on the second Tuesday of each month at 12:30 pm EST
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Skills

• Must be available to volunteer 8-10 hours a week
• Must be based in the U.S. or Canada
• Long-term volunteer commitment (12+ months) required
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to clarity and professionalism
• Highly dependable with strong follow-through and the ability to meet deadlines
• Some background using Canva, Slack, and Asana preferred
