Intermountain Health is a healthcare organization seeking an Accounting Supervisor to provide high-level accounting expertise and lead a team in supporting healthcare professionals with fiscal management. The role involves supervising accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and producing quality financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Produces quality financial reporting and helps ensure compliance with internal controls
• Acts as a subject matter expert and resource to others. Provides expertise to other accounting positions and department managers
• Assists Accounting Manager in the overall operations of accounting operations
• Directly supervises others who handle the accounting process for which the individual is responsible or has full accountability to lead a group to desired outcomes. Responsible for day-to-day supervisory duties including staffing, coaching, performance management, and development of direct reports
• Demonstrates understanding of all financial functions and the interrelationship of finance areas within the organization and department
• Delivers accurate, complete, timely results and reports as requested
• Performs other duties as assigned

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a business-related field
• Demonstrated progressive accounting experience
• Experience in a role requiring attention to detail, project management and complex analytical skills
• Experience in a role requiring effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Master's Degree in accounting or a business-related field
• CPA license
• Experience in a leadership or supervisory role
• Database knowledge
• Working knowledge of Intermountain's information systems and financial processes
