Connor, Clark & Lunn Investment Management (CC&L) is seeking a Quantitative Research Analyst to join their Quantitative Equity team. The role involves tackling challenges at the intersection of finance, data science, and technology, focusing on developing innovative investment models and insights.

Responsibilities

• Research and development of new investment models
• Generating ideas for new investment insights
• Apply a variety of skills and techniques in finance, data science and statistics
• Collaborate with our technology, portfolio management and investment process teams to deliver exceptional investment performance

Skills

• Deep understanding of the drivers of business success, securities valuation, and markets
• Experience with producing rigorous quantitative research, particularly in finance
• Undergraduate degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, computer science or related discipline
• Ability to apply creativity and discipline to sourcing and evaluating novel data sets
• Adept at balancing intuition with statistical validation
• Thrives in a collaborative environment and values shared success
• Proactively solicits and provides input and excels at communicating complex and technical concepts
• Graduate level studies are valuable in this role
• Exceptional achievements and recognition (e.g., research or awards) are helpful in demonstrating abilities
• Experience in academic research is usually preferred
