Ready to shape the future of resilient communities? Verdantas is seeking a Project Controls Specialist II to support Project Managers. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on maintaining project schedules and preparing reports. Responsibilities include monitoring client document control systems, routing inquiries, tracking deliverables, and updating project status. The position requires proficiency in project management software, including Gantt charts, and involves coordinating closely with project teams to track design progress, billing status, and key performance indicators (KPIs). The role also requires identifying issues, determining root causes, and driving solutions. This position is remote. At Verdantas, you’ll join a collaborative team focused on innovation, growth, and delivering impactful environmental and infrastructure projects. What You'll Do: Develop Project Schedules using the project scope and Work Breakdown Structure Create custom project schedules with little guidance from Project Managers Update and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project, Excel Schedule, Vantagepoint Project Plan, and/or Microsoft Teams Request and process project status updates from Project Managers, Area Project Delivery Leaders, and/or Area Leaders. Status updates may be collected via redlined .pdf files, email messages, text messages, phone calls, team meetings, or one-on-one conversations Create project summaries and schedule variance reports with Project Managers Generate project and portfolio-level reports to share with Project Managers and the project team as needed Submitting, downloading, and/or updating forms, paperwork, etc. on external and internal document control systems What You'll Bring: Bachelor’s Degree 2-4 Years of Data Analysis Experience Excellent Communication Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Suite – particularly Excel Past/Current experience as a project accountant, project controls, or project management Experience in Microsoft Project, Vantagepoint, Power BI, Scheduling, or similar programs Salary Range: $67,000 - $77,000 Benefits: Flexible Work Environment Paid Parental Leave Medical Dental Vision Life and AD&D Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off + Holidays Verdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
