The role We are seeking exceptional Spanish VRI/OPI Interpreters to join our founding interpreter cohort. Responsibilities

Core Interpreting Duties Provide consecutive interpretation via video (VRI) and telephone (OPI) platforms across healthcare, legal, social services, and enterprise verticals. Render accurate, complete, and culturally appropriate interpretations while preserving register, tone, and intent of the source speaker. Apply specialized terminology across medical (HIPAA-compliant), legal, mental health, and financial domains. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and professionalism in every interaction. Maintain strict neutrality and confidentiality.

Requirements

Non-Negotiable Qualifications Native or near-native fluency in both Spanish and English (ILR Level 4+ / CEFR C2 in both languages) Strong knowledge of medical, legal, and business terminology. Strong consecutive interpretation, memory retention and note-taking technique. Exceptional active listening, code-switching agility, and register flexibility (from clinical to conversational) Reliable internet connection and professional remote setup (camera, headset, quiet environment). Technical Requirements To ensure the highest quality of service for our clients, we require the following setup: Hardware: OS: Windows 10/11 or macOS 12.7+ (fully updated). Note: Remote/Virtual PCs are not permitted. Specs: CPU Intel 6th Gen (i5-6xxx) or AMD equivalent; 8GB RAM minimum. Internet: Wired connection via Starlink, xDSL, Coaxial, or Fiber. (No LTE/4G or Wi-Fi). Audio/Video: USB wired headset with uni-directional mic; 1080p camera. Professional Presence: Background: Solid white or blue background with professional lighting (ring lights recommended). Attire: Formal business attire (e.g., blouses, formal shirts/ties). Kaizen Citizenship Participate in product feedback loops, sharing friction points and improvement ideas directly with the quality and operations teams. Maintain technical readiness: stable internet, compatible hardware, and a distraction-free, HIPAA-conscious workspace.
