This position will operate on a remote basis within the U.S. Pocket-lint is a leading authority on consumer tech, digital entertainment, and smart home gear, reaching millions of readers with up-to-the-minute news, authoritative reviews, and deep-dive guides. As a worldwide leader in the tech space, Pocket-lint operates at a rapid pace and we are currently looking for a Streaming & AV (Audio/Visual) Author to join our team on a 1099 freelance basis. This is someone who can create original, high-quality content regarding streaming platforms, smart TVs, home theater setups, and audio/visual hardware in a timely manner. Your Responsibilities Research and write original buying guides, tutorials, and news specifically related to streaming hardware, platforms, and AV setups. Extract the core of a story quickly to deliver informative and timely reports in a fast-paced environment. Pitch unique, reader-obsessed article topics (e.g., Plex optimization, Roku tips, HDMI standards, Smart TV troubleshooting) to our Editorial team regularly. Input work into our in-house CMS, as well as find and format images, according to our guidelines. Stay up to date on the latest streaming ecosystem updates, AV hardware news, and home theater products. Coordinate with the editorial team for assignments and feedback. Follow Pocket-lint’s general Editorial Guidelines while producing unique and high-quality content.
