About the position As a Telecommunications SME supporting our federal government client, you will be trusted to provide senior-level telecommunications oversight and technical expertise across a myriad of Wireless Communications R&D topics. This role requires a seasoned leader with deep knowledge of the wireless telecommunications industry, strong familiarity with the research community, and established relationships across government, industry, academia, and other key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring an appreciation for both foundational research and practical technology transition.

Responsibilities

• 10+ years of experience in wireless telecommunications, networking, or a related field, including substantial experience in wireless telecommunications research and development.
• Deep understanding of the wireless telecom industry landscape, including key technology trends, stakeholders, and innovation pathways.
• Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with senior leaders across government, industry, academia, and research organizations.
• Strong knowledge of next-generation wireless and broadband technologies and the broader research, development, and transition ecosystem.
• Demonstrated appreciation for both basic research and technology translation, with the ability to connect research activities to broader stakeholder and mission needs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in wireless telecommunications, networking, or a related field, including substantial experience in wireless telecommunications research and development.
• Deep understanding of the wireless telecom industry landscape, including key technology trends, stakeholders, and innovation pathways.
• Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with senior leaders across government, industry, academia, and research organizations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
• US citizenship or permanent resident and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability

• Experience supporting federal research, innovation, or technology transition programs.
