Vale of Glamorgan Council is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual for the role of Paralegal in their legal department. The post holder will support the debt recovery service by assisting solicitors and senior officers with cases related to Adult Social Care and sundry debt, focusing on negotiation and preparation for litigation.

Responsibilities

• Support the Council’s debt recovery service by assisting solicitors and senior officers with the progression of Adult Social Care and sundry debt cases
• Combine early intervention, negotiation and support with preparation for litigation and enforcement where appropriate
• Contribute to the delivery of a lawful, proportionate, fair and efficient debt recovery service, balancing income recovery with vulnerability and customer care considerations
