Resident in Counseling (1099 Contractor) – Fully Online Position, Set your own hours We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Resident in Counseling to join Hope and Harmony. This is a fully remote position providing high-quality therapy services to adolescents and adults throughout Virginia. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates of a Clinical Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy program who are working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual therapy sessions with adolescents and adults
• Perform clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes
• Manage client scheduling and maintain an organized appointment calendar
• Attend weekly group supervision meetings
• Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards
• Optional: Facilitate or co-lead online therapeutic groups

Requirements

• Must be a current Resident in Counseling (or eligible for residency) in the state of Virginia
• Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field
• Strong clinical writing skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently in a fully virtual setting
• Reliable internet connection and a professional, and confidential workspace
