Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to healthcare providers, including patient scheduling, managing medical records, and processing billing and insurance information. Assist in conducting patient intake, reviewing medical history, and ensuring patient information is accurate and complete. Handle incoming calls, answer questions, and provide bilingual support to Spanish-speaking patients. Perform basic medical procedures (e.g., taking vitals, preparing patients for exams) as required by the healthcare provider. Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Manage and organize medical documents and assist with the preparation of reports for healthcare providers. Coordinate with insurance companies to verify coverage and assist with the billing process. Assist in handling prescriptions, medication refills, and other administrative tasks to support patient care.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written) is required. 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients. Proficiency in medical software, Electronic Health Records (EHR), and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
