About the Role

The Elite Job is hiring experienced HVAC Technicians for residential service, light commercial, and commercial refrigeration work across the Southeast and Midwest. What You Will Do

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems including split systems, package units, heat pumps, and mini-splits
• Perform seasonal tune-ups, filter replacements, coil cleanings, and refrigerant checks on maintenance agreement accounts
• Install new HVAC equipment including air handlers, condensing units, furnaces, and ductwork in new construction and replacement applications
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical failures including bad capacitors, failed compressors, refrigerant leaks, and control board faults
• Recover, recharge, and document refrigerant usage in compliance with EPA 608 regulations
• Commission newly installed systems and verify proper airflow, refrigerant charge, and thermostat operation before leaving the site
• Communicate clearly with homeowners and building managers about system condition, repair options, and pricing before beginning work
• Complete service tickets, maintenance reports, and warranty documentation accurately using a mobile field service application

What You Need

• EPA 608 Universal certification — required for all refrigerant-handling technicians
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on HVAC installation and service experience
• Ability to diagnose electrical and refrigeration system faults independently using meters, manifold gauges, and diagnostic tools
• Physical ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and on rooftops in summer heat and winter cold
• Valid driver's license with a clean MVR — you will drive a company service vehicle daily
• Customer service mindset — residential service techs interact with homeowners on every call
• High school diploma or GED — no college degree required

Nice to Have

• NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification in any specialty
• Experience with commercial rooftop units (RTUs), chillers, or building automation systems
• Sheet metal fabrication and ductwork installation experience
• State HVAC contractor or mechanical license
