Finance Specialist

Remote · Argentina Full-time

We're looking for a Client Finance Specialist who sees the story behind the numbers. You won't just process transactions, you'll serve as a trusted financial partner to our clients, turning data into insights that help them make confident decisions and advance their missions. Candidates within the Raleigh-Durham area or within a 2-hour radius strongly preferred What You'll Do:Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable — processing invoices, expense reports, and payments accurately and on time. Reconcile bank and investment accounts monthly; monitor and report client expenditures and expense allocations. Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP. Oversee the monthly close process, maintain the general ledger in QuickBooks Online, and manage fixed asset and depreciation schedules. Support annual audits and tax filings with organized schedules, confirmation letters, and documentation. Proactively identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities and translate them into plain-language insights for client boards and leadership. Collaborate with Account Executives on client budget planning, forecasting, and long-term sustainability conversations. Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and client confidence in company's financial stewardship. What You'll Need:Associate's degree in accounting or finance (bachelor's preferred) OR 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a nonprofit or multi-client environment. Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks Online. Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial audiences. Comfort presenting financial information to client leadership, boards, and volunteers. Experience with or willingness to learn financial forecasting and budgeting, not just historical reporting. A proactive mindset where you flag issues and suggest solutions before being asked. Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
