Maven AGI is an enterprise AI platform on a mission to unleash business artificial general intelligence, focusing on customer service. They are seeking a Finance Associate to support day-to-day financial operations, including financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, and sales commissions management.

Responsibilities

• Pull financial reports f to support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
• Reconcile actuals vs. budget, investigate variances, and provide clear explanations and strategic recommendations to the finance team
• Assist with the preparation of internal financial dashboards and management reports
• Manage the AP process, including capturing all bills across the business, obtaining department approvals, and scheduling payments
• Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries
• Ensure all bills are paid accurately and on time, following company policies and controls
• Assist with AR oversight, including invoice preparation and tracking customer payments
• Monitor aging reports and flag overdue accounts to the appropriate stakeholders
• Support follow-up on outstanding invoices when needed
• Own the calculation of sales commission payments based on approved plans and reported performance
• Validate sales data and work with Sales/RevOps to resolve discrepancies
• Prepare clear commission statements for review and approval
• Help maintain proper documentation, controls, and audit trails for all finance activities
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes and reporting

Skills

• 1–2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or investment banking
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Ability to pull, download, and categorize financial data from accounting systems
• Understanding and working proficiency in all three primary financial statements (Income Statement (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement)
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, basic analysis)
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
