They are seeking an Engineer-in-Training/Designer to join their Roadway Design team, responsible for technical content and project management tasks related to public infrastructure roadway projects.

Responsibilities

• Development of design plans
• Technical specifications
• Cost estimates for public bidding
• Providing support and guidance for junior staff
• Client and sub-consultant management and coordination
• Tracking of project budgets
• Delegation of work tasks to supporting staff
• Basic knowledge of survey data collection
• Land rights
• Regulatory permitting

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree – Civil Engineering
• Relevant internship or 1-4 years' experience of progressive responsibility in Civil Engineering. Recent grads considered
• Ability to work in team environment as an individual contributor
• Organized and able to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently across multiple projects and deliverables
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to utilize critical thinking, judgment, and experience to define, analyze, and resolve issues
• EIT preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD and AutoTurn preferred
• Experience with MassDOT standards and deliverables a plus
