Construction Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant Company: Virtual Construction Assistants Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | US hours Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Construction Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant to support a construction-focused client. This role requires hands-on bookkeeping experience within a construction environment and strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring 100% data accuracy Verify vendor invoices and subcontractor billings against project records prior to payment Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing Perform accurate invoice and financial data entry Maintain well-organized accounting records and files Prepare and monitor project budgets and cost reports Generate financial reports, including Profit & Loss (P&L) statements

Qualifications

Proven bookkeeping experience in a construction environment Proficient in QuickBooks Online Advanced Excel skills for financial tracking and reporting Highly organized with strong attention to detail Self-starter with a proactive work style and minimal need for supervision Able to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities Additional Requirements Stable internet connection Professional home workspace Availability during US working hours
