Computer Vision Expert Location: Remote US Employment Type: Part-Time W-2 Compensation: $80–$110/hour Commitment: Approximately 20 hours per week About the Opportunity This opportunity is for experienced Computer Vision professionals interested in contributing to advanced AI research and evaluation projects. The role focuses on designing challenging real-world computer vision tasks, developing high-quality reference solutions, and evaluating frontier AI models to improve their reasoning, perception, and multimodal capabilities. Strong proficiency in Python is required, along with hands-on experience in modern computer vision techniques and deep learning.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging, real-world computer vision tasks based on practical industry or research experience.
• Develop reference implementations and executable solutions using Python.
• Build evaluation frameworks for computer vision models across object detection, segmentation, image recognition, multimodal reasoning, and image or video generation.
• Evaluate AI model performance and identify capability, reasoning, and performance gaps.
• Analyze model failures and provide actionable feedback to improve AI systems.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure evaluation quality, consistency, and technical accuracy.
• Document methodologies, evaluation criteria, and technical findings clearly and accurately.

Required Qualifications

• Deep hands-on experience in Computer Vision through industry, research, or graduate-level work.
• Strong working proficiency in Python for computer vision development and experimentation.
• Strong understanding of modern computer vision techniques, including deep learning architectures, model evaluation, and frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience developing, training, or evaluating computer vision models and applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and commit approximately 20 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Experience with AI model evaluation, AI training, or data annotation.
• Experience working with multimodal AI systems, vision-language models, or generative AI.
• Contributions to open-source projects, research publications, or applied AI initiatives.
• Familiarity with agentic AI systems and computer vision evaluation methodologies.

Compensation
