Position Description:The Comic Illustrator will help with creating cartoons/graphics for NHEG comics, magazines or any other publication. He/She can use any software of their choosing (E.G: Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, etc.) to create illustrations from beginning to end or to add the finishing touches to the sketch of another team member (I.E: Inking and/or coloring) whileadapting to a predetermined art style . These illustrations will be mostly for the comic book, which will cover serious issues faced by society. Using Kelly Bear press articles as our story line.Background:Prior experience with inking cartoons, imagery and graphic design is a must.Major Duties*:Prepare sketches of characters or model drawingsHelp designing the layout and/or sketching the comic book pagesInk character or page sketches as needed (line art)Coloring inked pages or character sketches.Attend online or in-person meetingsWork as a team to accomplish goalsCreate advertisements or graphics for NHEGEdit Images and Advertisements*Some activities may be assigned more than others depending on the needs of the moment and/or the individual skill set of the Comic IllustratorFundamentals−EvaluationsYour performance will be evaluated on the punctuality and efficiency of your tasks. Any concerns will be discussed with the appropriate recommendations made.
