Clinical Specialist

The EMEA Clinical Service organization is a field-based product training, support and education group. As part of this group, this position requires a strong clinical background in apheresis and ECP with the ability to provide education and/or training and support to Health Care Providers (HCPs). In fostering the safe and appropriate use and application, the Clinical Specialist (CS) provides subject matter expertise to ensure appropriate education and training in the application, administration, and utilization of Therakos devices and technology. The Clinical Specialist requires solid technical, clinical, and functional expertise within their therapeutic area. They should be able to lead field-based HCP training and educational sessions and provide onsite and remote support, both of which foster safe and appropriate use of Therakos pharmaceuticals devices, and technologies. Skills: Very good command of German and English, both written and spoken Additional language skills, particularly Spanish is preferred Strong scientific and clinical acumen. Ability to cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Creative problem-solving skills with strong business acumen. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong interpersonal, team, and communication skills. Understanding of both the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Experience: Preferably 3 years of clinical experience, ideally in apheresis/dialysis. Preferably 2 years of clinical education and training experience and/or management experience. Education: Registered Nurse (RN) or Bachelor of Science (BS) required. Serves as subject matter expert within a specific therapeutic area to provide education, phone support and training (staggered working hours, on-call hours and weekend work may be required) Leads onsite field training and/or remote support for Therakos Pharmaceuticals drugs and devices Gathers and reports field competitor information to internal stakeholders Accurately responds to medical device therapeutic questions from institutional-based health care providers in accordance with approved company guidance for CSs and applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards and using approved content Interacts with a variety of internal stakeholders including but not limited to North American Clinical Specialists, Technical Service, Medical Department, Quality, Regulatory, Research & Development, and Legal personnel, and commercial in accordance with approved company guidance for EMEA CSs and applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards May contribute to device and drug-related Pharmacovigilance activities including complaint capture of AEs May assist in development of tools and resources to develop and maintain a cutting-edge training and education program May support clinical research and/or clinical trial site initiations by providing technical support throughout the study period, advising Sponsored Study or Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) investigators on instrument use May author or co-author clinical research or other clinical papers Document customer interactions and activities, manage expenses, and meet objectives.
