Our client, a premier hospitality group renowned for its exceptional service and exquisite cuisine, is looking for a skilled Banquets and Events Manager to oversee their event operations in Nashville, Tennessee . This role offers a dynamic hybrid work arrangement, blending strategic planning and administrative tasks remotely with on-site event execution and client interaction. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless planning and delivery of all banquet and private events, from initial client consultation to final execution. Your expertise will be key in managing event logistics, coordinating with internal teams (culinary, beverage, service), and guaranteeing a memorable experience for every guest. This position demands exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate is a polished professional with a strong understanding of banquet operations and a passion for creating flawless events. You will play a vital role in upholding our client's reputation for excellence in Nashville's vibrant event scene.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of banquet and event planning, ensuring client satisfaction from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up. Develop event proposals, contracts, and floor plans tailored to client needs. Coordinate closely with the culinary and beverage teams to finalize menus and special requests. Oversee event set-up, execution, and breakdown, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. Supervise on-site banquet staff, providing clear direction and ensuring professional service delivery. Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure profitability. Conduct pre-event meetings with clients and internal teams to confirm all details. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during events in a timely and professional manner. Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers. Contribute to the overall success of the sales and marketing efforts for banquets and events.

Requirements

Minimum of 4 years of experience in banquet or event management, preferably in a hotel or high-volume catering setting. Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of food and beverage operations, service standards, and event logistics. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Experience working in a hybrid model, balancing remote and on-site responsibilities. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is preferred. A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
