We are seeking an experienced ArcGIS Specialist / GIS Consultant to provide remote GIS support services for infrastructure, disaster recovery, and utility asset management projects. This is an independent contractor position working on a project-by-project basis under an hourly contract agreement. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of taking direction to independently complete high-quality GIS deliverables for client review and public use. Current and upcoming work includes disaster recovery sites mapping, municipal utility asset management, public information maps, map layout production, and online GIS applications. Current projects include:

• Managing and refining ArcGIS Online maps containing hundreds of disaster-damaged sites
• Organizing and displaying repair status information for public-facing online maps
• Integrating site photographs and related project information into map features
• Producing existing and proposed condition maps and layouts
• Creating clean, professional PDF and print-ready map layouts
• Supporting utility asset inventory and mapping projects
• Preparing GIS templates and standardized layout formats for future projects

Responsibilities may include:

• ArcGIS Online configuration and management
• ArcGIS Pro mapping and layout development
• Feature layer editing and organization
• Attachment/photo integration
• Public-facing online map configuration
• Utility asset mapping
• Spatial data management
• Creating professional map layouts and templates
• Producing printable exhibits and PDF deliverables
• Assisting with future disaster or asset mapping projects

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
• Experience creating professional map layouts and exhibits
• Familiarity with utility infrastructure mapping
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Experience with Survey123, Field Maps, or utility asset management workflows is helpful

Typical Deliverables:

• 11x17 and 24x36 engineering-style map layouts
• Existing and proposed condition maps
• Public information web maps
• Utility inventory maps and supporting spreadsheets
• Client-ready PDF exhibits

This position is fully remote and work will be assigned as projects develop. There is potential for ongoing contract work for the right individual. Please provide:
