About the Role

Vulnerability and Incident Management Specialists represent HARMAN’s commitment to detecting and remediating cybersecurity issues in its products. Reporting to the Manager of the Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT), this role collaborates closely with IT Security, product development and maintenance teams, cybersecurity authorities, and industry groups to drive HARMAN’s response to cybersecurity incidents and threats. This role continuously adapts and adopts new tools, processes, and solutions to keep users and products safe. What You Will Do

Collaborate closely with IT Security, global vulnerability and incident management, and product development and maintenance teams to resolve vulnerabilities and incidents related to HARMAN products Drive communication and coordination related to incidents with third parties, including OEMs, suppliers, and numbering authorities Produce security advisories, bulletins, and reports related to vulnerabilities and incidents Support the adoption and adaptation of tools and processes Continuously improve ways of working across threat intelligence, vulnerability analysis, and incident response Act as a process and technology advisor during incident and vulnerability responses to support informed decision‑making Mentor junior team members Support the PSIRT Manager in ensuring the day‑to‑day operations of the team Champion team and organizational cultural values What You Need to Be Successful 5+ years of relevant technical experience in a cybersecurity role Ability to work effectively in time‑sensitive situations while demonstrating integrity and professionalism Strong ability to influence without authority and foster collaboration Experience in IT, embedded systems, threat intelligence, or cybersecurity Experience in OT/ICS, embedded, or product‑focused cybersecurity environments Excellent working knowledge of cybersecurity standards, risks, and mitigation strategies Strong written and verbal communication skills Solid fundamentals in incident management and operational processes Demonstrated contributions to team culture, process improvement, and knowledge‑sharing initiatives Ability to self‑organize tasks while guiding or coordinating work for junior team members Proficiency in scripting languages, low‑code environments, or technical tooling configuration Bonus Points If You Have Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field SANS GIAC certifications in cybersecurity, especially Incident Handler certifications, or equivalent Risk management knowledge and experience Proficiency in English Knowledge of predictive and agile project management methodologies Conversational and/or technical proficiency in German Active participation in conferences, consortiums, or Capture the Flag (CTF) events Knowledge of CSIRT, PSIRT, or FIRST norms and ways of working A portfolio of prior cybersecurity work or relevant publications and presentations What Makes You Eligible Willingness to travel up to 5%, domestically and/or internationally, as required by client engagements Willingness to work from the Bangalore office
